Campaign Against Climate Change

The Campaign against Climate Change exists to secure the action needed - at a local, national and, above all, international level - to minimise harmful climate change and the devastating impacts it will have. The CCC seeks to raise awareness about the gravity and urgency of the threat from climate change and to influence those with the greatest power to take effective action and to do so with the utmost speed and resolution.

Carbon Copy celebrates their success stories and inspires action by sharing high-impact, low-carbon initiatives for others to copy or adapt. They offer fresh perspectives and bold ideas, for those who are already involved and those still discovering what role they might play.

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is an education, research and visitor centre demonstrating practical solutions for sustainability, inspiring, informing and enabling people to achieve positive changes in their personal and work lives and within their local communities.

CeraPhi Energy

CeraPhi Energy was founded on the basis of wanting to contribute to global net zero targets through the development of geothermal energy projects. CeraPhi has developed innovative and reliable new technology solutions to make 'Geothermal Everywhere' a realistic proposition.

Citizens' Climate Lobby

Citizens’ Climate Lobby UK is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organisation. Citizens' Climate Lobby trains and supports volunteers to engage with elected officials, the media, and the public, in order to generate the political will to enact a Carbon Fee and Dividend policy.

Climate Cymru

Climate Cymru is a growing movement of hundreds of organisations from every sector in Welsh society and thousands of individuals from across Wales. They advocate for a just and equitable transition to net zero, that takes into consideration the diversity of voices and needs of the people of Wales, and more broadly, the most vulnerable around the world.

Climate Emergency UK

Since 2019, Climate Emergency UK has been supporting campaigners and councils in the UK to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030, and has created Council Climate Scorecards to measure council’s progress towards net zero and their Climate Action Plans.

Climate Majority Project

Climate Majority Project works to accelerate citizen climate action towards system change, and help a mass movement to see its own power. In particular, they support promising initiatives organising citizen action in local communities, workplaces and professions.

Climate Outreach

Climate Outreach is a charity that formed in 2004 to directly engage the public about climate change through the use of innovative action learning methods and by assisting people to communicate their own messages to their peers.

Climate Reality Project Europe

The Climate Reality Project believes that real change comes from the ground up. They know that a small-but-committed critical mass of activists can not only transform society, but change the world. That’s why they recruit, train, and mobilise people to become powerful activists, providing the skills, campaigns, and resources to push for climate action and high-level policies that accelerate a just transition to clean energy.

Friends of the Earth

Friends of the Earth is an environmental campaigning community dedicated to the wellbeing and protection of the natural world and everyone in it. They lead campaigns, provide resources and information, and drive real solutions to the environmental problems facing us all.

Green Skills Library

The Green Skills Library uses recycled or donated materials to educate on sustainable practices, from composting through to furniture reupholstering. Courses are free, online or in person. Using the UN Sustainable Development Goals, they create community connections amongst businesses, councils and the third sector.

Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. They defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse, and championing environmentally responsible solutions.

MCS Charitable Foundation

MCS Charitable Foundation is an independent UK-wide charity whose mission is to accelerate the widespread adoption of renewable energy and low carbon technologies. Their vision is a world where everyone has access to affordable and reliable renewable energy and low carbon technologies – for the benefit of our environment, our communities and the general public.

Meat Free Monday

Launched by Paul, Mary and Stella McCartney in 2009, Meat Free Monday is a not-for-profit campaign which aims to raise awareness of the detrimental environmental impact of eating meat, and to encourage people to help slow climate change, conserve precious natural resources and improve their health by having at least one meat free day each week.

No Airport Expansion

They are a group campaigning against the expansion of UK airports. Their aims are a three year moratorium on airport expansion, changes to the planning laws to include consideration of carbon emissions, and the sharing of information between members.

Possible

Possible are all about doing practical stuff that helps tackle climate change. They take a collective approach that turns individual actions at a local level into a force for bigger changes. From riding a bus to re-powering a village, their projects bring people together to help build a better world.

Power For People

Power for People was founded by veteran campaigners who ran the campaigns for the Climate Change Act, the Warm Homes Act and the Doorstep Recycling Act. They organise mass public advocacy campaigns for changes to accelerate the UK’s transition to renewable energy and ensure that local communities benefit from it.

Rewriting Earth

Rewriting Earth is a global creative agency for the Planet. They make mainstream campaigns to bring new people into the climate fight, and ensure that the right people hear the right messages. 

Slow Food

Slow Food is a not–for–profit organisation seeking to promote a better way to eat, celebrating the rich food traditions of the different nations that make up the UK, and protecting the edible biodiversity. They engage members of the public, food producers, chefs, businesses, academics and a global network, spreading and enacting their philosophies internationally and locally.

Stop Climate Chaos Scotland

Stop Climate Chaos Scotland is one of The Climate Coalition’s sister organisations, and is a diverse coalition of over 60 civil society organisations in Scotland campaigning together on climate change.

Sustainability First

Sustainability First is a think-tank that promotes practical, sustainable solutions to improve environmental, social and economic well-being. They primarily work on sustainability policy and practice for energy and water supply and water management.

Transport & Environment UK

Transport & Environment UK is the UK arm of Transport & Environment, Europe’s independent expert in enabling clean transport for all. They work to end greenhouse gas emissions from transport in the UK, covering road transport, shipping and aviation. 

Uplift

Uplift’s mission is to support and energise the movement for a just and fossil fuel-free UK. They strategically resource, connect, and elevate ideas and voices to set in motion a just transition away from fossil fuel production that is commensurate with the scale of the climate crisis. 

Women's Environmental Network

The Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) is the only organisation in the UK that has worked consistently to make the links between women’s lives and environmental issues. WEN’s vision is of an environmentally sustainable world in which gender equality has been achieved. 

Working Class Climate Alliance

Based in the UK, The Working Class Climate Alliance is an international network of individuals, communities and organisations working to transform our locales into ones that are more sustainable for present and future generations. They amplify working class voices within environmentalism, whilst also raising working class pride and solidarity worldwide.

Zero Hour
