Alton Climate Action & Network (ACAN)

The Alton Climate Action Network was established in 2019. It brings people together to tackle the climate emergency by offering a forum for people from Alton and the surrounding villages, encouraging the development of groups on specific issues, and providing trustworthy information on the climate crisis and what we can all do to reduce our carbon emissions.

Become United is dedicated to supporting marginalised communities in Greater Manchester. They focus on providing educational workshops, community projects, and tailored resources to help individuals overcome barriers and access essential services. 

Bedfordshire Climate Change Forum

Bedfordshire Climate Change Forum (BCCF) is a Bedfordshire-based group of people who share a deep concern about the threat of climate change both on us locally and on the peoples and biodiversity of the planet. BCCF believes we have a responsibility to limit and mitigate as far as possible the dangers wrought by climate change.

Bioabundance Community Interest Company campaigns to secure a safe future where we can thrive within the natural world. It is a grassroots community of residents, nature-lovers, ecologists, planners, architects, and parish councils. 

Cambridge Carbon Footprint

Cambridge Carbon Footprint involves, informs & inspires a wide range of people in the Cambridge area with practical activities and support to make big, permanent reductions in their carbon footprints. They focus on understanding what helps people change their behaviour so as to move people towards a low carbon society. 

Carbon Neutral Cambridge

Carbon Neutral Cambridge is a not-for- profit organisation, supporting the rapid reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions of the wider Cambridge region, ultimately to reach a net zero level. Their work focuses on influencing key local decision makers through campaigns, advocacy, research, events and public communications.

Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon

Working in partnership with the people, organisations, schools and businesses of the Bradford on Avon Community Area, Climate Friendly Bradford on Avon is embarking on an ambitious journey to become carbon neutral by 2050.

Climate Hub BANES

The mission of Climate Hub is to unite people and communities for a positive future in the face of the Climate and Ecological Emergency. They act as a central hub to provide education, information, and safe spaces for discussion, supporting the community to build capacity and take collaborative action for nature and the climate in the Bath and North East Somerset area. 

The Co-operative Group

The Co-op is the UK’s largest consumer co-operative, with 4.6 million active members. They’re a food retailer with over 2,600 stores of their own and they’re a food wholesaler servicing 1,300 shops owned by independent co-operative societies and a further 4,000 independent retailers. The Co-op actively works on climate change by targeting net-zero operations, restoring natural habitats, and funding green community initiatives. 

Community Energy England

Community Energy England (CEE) was established in May 2014 as a not for profit organisation to provide a voice for the community energy sector and help create the conditions within which community energy can flourish. They do this by coordinating the grassroots work of our sector and by advocating for supportive policies at national and local levels.

Derby Climate Change Coalition

The Derby Climate Change Coalition is a campaigning group that brings together a wide range of organisations and individuals, who support and want to take part in activities that inform, influence and raise awareness about the effects of global warming.

Earth Restorers

The Earth Restorers run an individual-action scheme aimed at tackling human-induced climate change and habitat destruction through mass, non-divisive participation. 

EcoBerko

EcoBerko aim to see Berkhamsted, Northchurch and the surrounding area become a thriving, sustainable community, powered by clean energy, with nature at its heart. Their mission is to provide leadership, to connect, catalyse and take local action to deliver their vision.

Eco Communities

Eco Communities is a not-for-profit organisation aiming to inspire residents of Cheshire and beyond to reduce their consumption of single-use plastics, do their part to remove waste from the environment, make more conscious choices when it comes to what they consume, and much more.

Footsteps

Footsteps brings together faith communities in Birmingham, to respond to the challenge of moving to a low carbon future.  Many faith communities are taking their own actions to help the environment; by coming together they can take footsteps side-by-side towards our common goal. They also take a faith community voice to Birmingham City Council and West Midlands Combined Authority and share their experience nationally.  

GlosCAN

GlosCAN is a group of citizens in Gloucestershire who are extremely concerned about climate change and the impact on current and future generations and believe climate change is a non-party political issue.

Havant Climate Alliance

Havant Climate Alliance is working across the Borough to promote awareness of the climate emergency and the steps needed to tackle it, and to persuade local decision-makers to take fast and effective action. They want to involve a range of local groups to secure a zero carbon future, a green economy and an environment that prioritises biodiversity, active travel and community cohesion.

Hope For The Future

Hope For The Future is a climate charity which works to equip communities, groups and individuals across the country to communicate the urgency of climate change with their local politicians. Their vision is to see communities and their elected representatives across the UK come together to take decisive action on climate change.

Hope Valley Climate Action

Hope Valley Climate Action’s purpose is to take effective action on the climate emergency in the Hope Valley in the Derbyshire Peak District. They work at three levels: raising awareness; local action; and advocacy.

Humanists UK

Humanists UK is the national charity working on behalf of non-religious people. Powered by over 85,000 members and supporters, their programme 'Humanists for a Better World' brings together activists to take individual and collective action on international ethical and sustainability issues, including climate change.

International Voluntary Service

The International Voluntary Service is a peace organisation working for the sustainable development of local and global communities. They are a member of Service Civil International (SCI), a network of like-minded branches and partner organisations supporting the exchange of volunteers to work on projects of direct benefit to local communities.

Our Grandchildren’s Climate is an organisation of Seniors (not only grandparents) who are working to bring about change and to ensure that the world where future generations grow up will be safe, healthy and just. 

Oxfordshire Climate Action Network

The Oxfordshire Climate Action Network is a grassroots initiative comprising over 100 community action groups working to build a fairer, more sustainable county. Their key focus areas include waste reduction, sustainable food, active transport, and renewable energy.

Parents for Future UK

Formed in 2019 by a small group of mums, Parents for Future UK's aim is to inspire and engage more adults to find ways to respond to the climate crisis. Parents For Future UK has a network of over 30,000 supporters, and they act through building a resilient community, peaceful gatherings, and creative communications. 

Peterborough Environment City Trust

Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) aims to protect and enhance the environment throughout Peterborough and beyond. This includes a healthy natural environment, community involvement, improved health and wellbeing, and responsible resource use. 

Plant Based Fife

Plant Based Fife's mission is to promote plant-based living in Fife by providing education, resources, and a supportive community. They aim to inspire individuals and institutions to embrace plant-based diets for better health, environmental sustainability, and compassion toward animals.

Scottish Communities Climate Action Network

SCCAN is a volunteer-led network with membership open to any community group across Scotland that is taking action on the climate crisis and to any organisation that is involved with or supports such community-led action.

South East Climate Alliance

The South East Climate Alliance (SECA) is a coalition of local environmental, community and faith groups from the South East of England uniting for urgent action on climate change and biodiversity loss.  It acts as an informal umbrella group and has been set up to share ideas and coordinate action

South Yorkshire Climate Alliance

South Yorkshire Climate Alliance is an alliance of local organisations and individuals who are pressing for fair and effective action to tackle climate change.

Sustainable Harborough Community

Sustainable Harborough Community is a group of local people who care for the future of Harborough and the planet. They are currently focussing on three areas - community energy, transport action, and climate action.

Tipping Point North South is a UK based organisation that works across film, events and campaigns. ‘Transform Defence’ is its primary advocacy project and addresses the impact of the global military on climate change and development. 

Transition Town Kingston

Transition Town Kingston is a local community group, part of an international movement educating and campaigning on the climate and nature crises and encouraging the transition to a sustainable low-carbon future.

UNA London and South East Region

The United Nations Association London and South East Region (UNA LASER) brings together about 30 local and university branches of UNA-UK. UNA LASER supports branches in their local activities and organises regional meetings and campaigns on issues of current concern in the UN system.

Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy

Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy develops community-owned renewable energy projects that reduce carbon emissions and promote more wildlife in Wiltshire.

Winchester Action on Climate Change

Founded in 2007, Winchester Action on Climate Change (WinACC) is a fast growing and effective network of local people, businesses, organisations and leaders. They work together to tackle climate change and transform Winchester into a low carbon district where people consume only their fair share of the earth’s resources, and where their lifestyles are not jeopardising the wellbeing of our children and grandchildren.

Women's Institute

The National Federation of Women’s Institutes (NFWI) is an educational, social, non-party political and non-sectarian organisation. It was established to ensure that women are able to take an effective part in their community, to learn together, widen their horizons, improve and develop the quality of their lives and those of their communities and together influence local, national and international affairs on issues that matter to members. 

Women's International League for Peace and Freedom UK

WILPF’s goal is to advance feminist peace for equality, justice, and demilitarised security. They do this by addressing the root causes of violence through a feminist lens and mobilise for nonviolent action.
