Creative for Climate Justice

The climate crisis is a key issue that is shaping the future of children and young people everywhere. It’s more important than ever that children are learning, reflecting, and acting together to create a sustainable future for everyone.

Get Creative For Climate Justice is a joint project from some of The Climate Coalition’s members - CAFOD, Christian Aid, Oxfam, Save the Children and Send My Friend, and the Royal Society of Literature.

The project asks young people to use their amazing creativity and send a loud and clear climate justice message to MPs and Government Ministers.

Creative for Climate Justice 2023 was a real success - we had so many stories of MPs visiting local exhibitions, articles in local papers, fantastic artworks created by children and young people of all ages, and an impactful day in parliament with 20 young people, 150 artworks, and 31 MPs.

It is not too early to register for Creative for Climate Justice 2024. It's open to all primary and secondary schools, FE colleges and alternative provision providers in the UK.

The key timings are:

  • Registrations open from 23 May – 24 July.

  • Submissions must be sent in by 25 October.

The art will be displayed in Parliament when the new Government if formed after the General Election.

If you prefer, you can just run a local Creative for Climate Justice project whenever you like.
