CELEBRATE THE LIFE YOU WANT TO PROTECT FROM CLIMATE CHANGE
Many of the people, places and things we care deeply about are being affected by climate change here and now — but your school can show the love to help protect them. By being part of our annual Show The Love campaign, you'll join TV presenters, community groups, Premiership football clubs, and hundreds of thousands of people across the UK in showing the love for all the things you want to protect from climate change.
Download our handy school guide and corresponding activities for creative and crafty ways to get your KS1 and KS2 pupils involved. Through the fun activities, your pupils will explore the world around them, learn about how climate change affects the everyday things they love, and share the message in their community.
ACTIVITY 1: CRAFT A HEART
Have your pupils craft a heart which shows off what they love and want to protect from climate change—from sports, to their family, or even their favourite food!
ACTIVITY 2: NOTICE CHANGES
There are signs of climate change all around us, particularly as the seasons change. This activity makes it easy for your pupils to engage with the issue of climate change by looking out for signs of spring that are appearing earlier than they have in previous years.
ACTIVITY 3: GO ON A TREASURE HEART HUNT
Treasure hunt activities nurture curiosity and help young people discover hidden messages and facts, as well as learning about how to navigate the world around them. Get started with the beautiful hearts you made in Activity 1, or by asking your pupils to write a message about their favourite sign of spring.
