Who is The Climate Coalition?

Along with our sister organisations Stop Climate Chaos Cymru and Stop Climate Chaos Scotland, we are a group of  over 130 organisations — including the National Trust, Women's Institute, Oxfam, and RSPB — reaching across the UK to show our love for all the things we want to protect from climate change, and to ask politicians to put aside their differences and commit to doing whatever is necessary to protect them.

What are you trying to achieve?

Our vision is of a world with 100% clean energy within a generation, but we use positive engagement wherever possible to make this happen. This approach aims to bring people and organisations together through local and national activity to reach and engage new audiences, in particular “small c conservatives”.

We will judge our impact by the breadth of partnerships built, the diversity of people engaged, and the level of cultural shift achieved in government views on climate change. Ultimately we aim to achieve a critical mass of ‘warm’ individuals, a larger number of climate champions within government, and an increasing sense of the economic inevitability of the green agenda.
