A story of people power

In 2025, thousands of people across the UK stepped forward to call for bold, practical action for people, climate and nature - and to show that when communities come together, change becomes possible.

Act Now, Change Forever brought people from every corner of the country into meaningful conversations with their MPs, rooted in real lives, local stories and hope for a healthier, fairer, safer future.

Together, we helped keep climate and nature at the heart of national debate - while building confidence, connection and long-term organising power across our movement.

Our impact at a glance

  • More than 5,000 people took part across the UK - from 91% of constituencies
  • Around 3,000 meaningful conversations took place between MPs and their constituents
  • 37% of those involved were taking campaign action for the very first time
  • 473 MPs engaged with the campaign - locally, nationally, or by correspondence
  • 209 MPs met constituents face-to-face in Westminster
  • Over 500 media stories helped reach and inspire millions more people

A movement rooted in community

Act Now, Change Forever wasn’t just one moment. It was a journey powered by people and place.

Communities gathered in schools, churches, cafés, libraries and online - as well as in Westminster - to talk about climate, nature, rising bills, local green spaces and the future we want for the next generation.

The campaign showed what becomes possible when people connect:

  • MPs heard directly from their constituents in genuine, human-centred conversations
  • First-time campaigners felt supported, welcomed and encouraged
  • Organisations across sectors came together around a shared purpose

It was hopeful, grounded in care, and it reminded leaders that people across the UK are ready for action.

Learning, growing, and building for the future

To understand the full impact of Act Now, Change Forever, we commissioned an independent external evaluation.
It highlighted what people valued - connection, confidence, hope and belonging - and the importance of strong local organising supported by national coordination.

It also helped us identify where we must do better, including:

  • Plan earlier and stay better connected across the coalition, so decisions are clearer, simpler and more joined-up for everyone involved;
  • Embed inclusion, accessibility and safeguarding from the very beginning - so every person who takes part feels safe, welcome and valued;
  • Invest in training, learning and stronger communication to support campaigners and improve our collective impact over time.

We are committed to acting on these lessons, so that future campaigns continue to grow more inclusive, impactful and community-led. If you would like to see the external evaluator's full report and our official TCC management response, please contact us at [email protected]
