What is a Mass Lobby?
A Mass Lobby is when lots of people meet their MPs on the same day to have powerful conversations on the issues they care about – health, safety, nature and climate.
Why now?
After the last election, over 300 new MPs entered Parliament — many are still getting to know their communities and deciding what kind of leaders they want to be. While climate and nature were big issues during the election, we’ve already seen some promises rolled back. That’s why now, one year on, is the perfect time to remind MPs what really matters: a fairer, healthier, safer future for everyone. We know this works. In past mass lobbies, people coming together face-to-face with their MPs has made a real difference, shaping decisions and building long-term relationships. Let’s do it again, and show our MPs that we’re ready to Act Now, and Change Forever — and we need them to do the same.
I've never met my MP before - I'm not sure what the process is
That’s absolutely okay — you don’t need to have met your MP before, or need to be an experienced campaigner to take part. You don’t even need to have spoken about climate or nature before. All you need is to care for this planet and the people on it. We’ll support you every step of the way — from inviting your MP and writing a personalised message, to knowing what to expect on the day and feeling confident in the meeting itself. You won’t be doing this alone!
This isn't my usual style of campaigning - is this still for me?
Absolutely. Whether you’ve taken part in direct action, written to your MP before, or this is your very first time getting involved, this moment is for you. The Mass Lobby is open to everyone — farmers, healthcare workers, teachers, parents, union reps, and everyone in between — united by the belief that our leaders must act for a fairer, healthier, safer future. No matter your background, beliefs, or experience, your voice belongs here.
I prefer campaigning activities involving 'direct action'. Will simply speaking to my MP make a difference?
We acknowledge and support many different types of activism and campaigning. Even if you usually prefer to take direct action, this is a great opportunity to use your passion and commitment in a slightly different way. MPs meeting with their constituents are there to hear your opinions. Feedback from MPs at previous lobbies has shown it does have an impact on them. Please join us to play your important part in this.
Will there be a march and can I bring placards?
This event is a Mass Lobby, which means the focus is on constituents meeting their MPs to have meaningful, face-to-face conversations about the issues they care most about. While there won’t be a march, there will be plenty happening throughout the day. Alongside the MP meetings, we’ll have a dedicated space at the beautiful QEII Centre, right next to one of MP meeting venues, where you can connect with other lobbyists, visit stalls, hear from inspiring speakers, and celebrate everything we’re achieving together.
We’re encouraging people not to bring placards. That’s because they’re not allowed inside venues where MP meetings are taking place, and we want to avoid unnecessary waste after the event. Instead, we’ll be offering other creative and visible ways for you to express your message and show what matters to you.
I'm planning to come by myself. Can I still sign up?
Yes, absolutely! Even if you’re registering on your own, you’re not alone. Others from your constituency will likely be attending too. In fact, most meetings will be done in small groups so you will be with other constituents from your area. We’ve organised meeting times by region so you’ll be with people who are travelling from similar parts of the UK. If you visit our interactive map on the sign up page, you can click the green heart on your local constituency to check if any local groups from your area have signed up — if so, you’ll find their contact details and may want to travel together.
How can I connect with other people locally?
Great question! When you first registered, you were given the option to add the contact details of any groups you are part of that are attending. Hundreds of groups and counting are already displaying their green hearts on our interactive map, which you can find on our main page. We have also created this brand new Facebook group for people who have registered for the Mass Lobby - this is a space to connect, to prepare for the day and most importantly, celebrate everything we achieve together. Please do join the group - we expect thousands of people to join in the coming weeks.
I'm travelling a long way. Can I get support with travel expenses?
We may be able to help with your travel costs. You can find out more about the support available, including how to apply by accessing our Travel and Inclusion Policy. If you need any more information, please contact [email protected]
Can I register on behalf of a group?
You’re welcome to share your group’s name and contact details when registering, but everyone attending must sign up individually. This helps us coordinate with MPs and ensure the day runs smoothly. So if you're part of a group, please share the registration link and encourage others to sign up too.
I don't know what time I should ask my MP to meet me
That’s okay - we’ve got that covered. Once you register, you’ll receive a link with all the details you need, including:
- Your MP’s name
- A time for your meeting
- The recommended meeting location and entrance
Just keep an eye on your inbox and we'll guide you from there.
Is the event accessible?
Yes - we’re committed to making this event inclusive for everyone. All venues are wheelchair accessible, and we may be able to provide additional support such as BSL interpretation or other language needs. When you register, you’ll receive more information on accessibility in your Lobby Pack and training. If you have specific access needs, just let us know - we’ll do our best to accommodate them.
What if my MP isn't available? Should I still come?
In short, yes! We understand it is disappointing if your MP isn’t available to meet with you, but there are still plenty of meaningful ways for you to take part in the lobby. We encourage you to join our Connection Space throughout the day to participate in the following:
- Inspiring speakers
- Stalls and activities
- Spaces for celebration, fun and reflection
- Opportunities to meet people from your constituency and across the UK
In addition, there will be the opportunity on the day for you to write a message to your MP which will be delivered directly to them. This is an important way to show MPs that their constituents care. Even without meeting your MP, you’ll be part of something hopeful, powerful, and history-making.
Will I be expected to follow any rules?
Yes - we want this to be a safe, welcoming and inclusive event for everyone. When you register, you’ll receive a Lobby Pack closer to the event. It will include travel tips, where to go on the day, and our code of conduct - the shared expectations we ask everyone to follow. Trained volunteers will be on hand to support you and help create a respectful, positive atmosphere throughout the day.
Can children or young people join?
Yes! Families are welcome. Just make sure everyone attending is registered and that young people are accompanied by a responsible adult.
